Because it's true. You all work tirelessly and selflessly with utter dedication.
My mum was admitted on Christmas morning with ischaemic colitis. At such a worrying time and with Covid19 concerns she was treated promptly which enabled her return home on Boxing Day. While nobody wants to spend Christmas in hospital she hasn’t been able to stop singing the praises of the staff who gave up their Christmas to look after patients like her. And believe me praise from mum doesn’t come easy. Thank you A and E and surgeons and staff on Falcon who cared for her.
I took my child to utc on Christmas day.and I must say I'm really impressed and grateful the way they treated us.it was quick and the staff and dr treated us so well.
I was with my 2 year old son who had burnt his son and we came back for a dressing change. Both nurses were incredibly caring, gentle, reassuring, informative and despite the fact we had a different ire on vaccinations, they were respectful of our decision at all times and simply attempted to discuss it in a gentle and respectful way.
I visited A&E on Monday 7 Dec, 20 with a swollen thumb caused by it being squeezed between two trays in my oven (which was cold) 5 days previously. It looked like a large infected bubble of dark green liquid and had been throbbing.
The Nurse who treated me explained exactly what it was and that it was badly infected. She cut and squeezed the liquid out, cleaned it all up and put a dressing on it. She gave me some strong tablets to take for four days to fight the infection which she hoped would stop the infection spreading to the bone.
She was very professional and caring and I cannot thank her enough.
She asked me to return two days later to have the thumb looked at and a change of dressing, if I was unable t have it done at my GP. I was unable to do so and did return and saw the same nurse.
I then returned on the Friday 11for similar treatment with another nurse who was also efficient and professional.
I had to return on the following Monday and Wednesday as still couldn't get an appointment with my GP Practice Nurse.
On every visit to A&E I was treated as if I was their only patient. I cannot thank the four nurses enough for their attention, information and care. I was very fortunate to be treated at St.Peter's in these difficult times for the NHS.
I hope that I helped their day's work by attending at 8.00p on each occasion, except the first, when I was the first patient of the day and it was not busy.
Friendly and polite staff and informed you of everything along the way
Great service and the doctor was lovely thank you
I was very happy with the way I was looked after at the UTC at St Peter’s. I wish this sort of facility of urgent but nonA&E issues was available locally in the community. It felt Covid-safe, I was triaged quickly and competently and given treatment. I particularly noted that the doctors took there time, explaining potential complications and developments - rather then rushing! Thank you NHS, Ben & colleagues!
I came to the UTC on Tues 22nd Dec at 8.00am.i had a big lump on my neck. I was seen quickly and the doctor made immediate arrangement to go to ENT. The doctor there was equally dynamic and got me in for an ultrasound test. The doctor there then arranged for an immediate CT scan.
In the meantime the ENT doctor had contacted Guildford and arranged for me to be admitted for treatment that afternoon.
The care from everyone was exemplary.
I can't say thank you enough to everyone who played their part.
We are so thankful to Ben in particular at the UTC who met us and was so reassuring and kind during a worrying and stressful time.
We were seen to promptly and treated with kindness and compassion by each staff member we met. Great team
